The main purpose of programming an ECU is to extract the potential power of the engine. With the process, you may experience saving in fuel consumption too as most of the Factory program for the ECU tends to be overly rich in the Air Fuel Ratio. By tuning it towards the Stoichiometric Ratio, which is reducing the amount of petrol, the engine will gain more power output. It is simpler said than done as there are about 300+ maps within an ECU program which controls difference aspect of engine environment. Proper training and engine management knowledge are needed in order to do a good tune.<\/p>\n
